I have been recently diagnosed to have rheumatoid arthritis. I have just started taking methotrexate tablets this week. I have taken 3 tablets & have severe nausea.
Is this a routine thing to happen with methotrexte?

Nausea is a common side effect of methotrexate. It wears out with time in quite a few patients. In the rest, it can be controlled with spacing out the dose, reducing the dose or addition of antiemetics drugs. You need to consult your Rheumatologist if the nausea persists.

Consultant Rheumatologist.
