I am suffering from RA since last 3 years.
I have been precribed taking methotrxate & arava for 1 1/2 yrs. Presently my joints dont really hurt much, in fact I am doing quite well since last 8- 9 months.
But I have significant hair loss, is this related to the drugs.
Is there any solution?

Hair loss is known with methotrexate & leflunomide.
In fact, this is one of the common complaints by patients on these drugs.
Are you taking folic acid? Folic acid is known to decrase the hair loss. Though there is no definite scientific evidence, biotin (one of the vitamins) does decrease the hair loss in many patients. images/icones/icon10.gif
