Hi,
This is in context with my wife who is suffering from SLE Lupus.
Right now we are in America and her LUPUS is under control.Her LUPUS was discovered almost 2 yrs back.
We are fortunate to have one of the best doctors in business who is treating her.
She is presently on Immuran.
Due to certain reasons, we will be coming to Mumbai,for good in first week of october 2008.
Since we need to continue with treatment , we are trying to find out a very good doctor who can treat her.
Hence would really apprecaite , if some one can suggest us a very good doctor for the same.

To Add to the earlier post, we would like to know about what medicines are available in india for LUPUS ?
Presently my wife is taking Azathioprine (Imuran) in US.
I believe this is the US version of medicine and is not available in india.
I did some googling and found out that the indian version of this medication are Azoran & transimune.Please correct me if i am wrong.
Are these easily available in india ? Can someone give more information about these medications ?
Incase if there are any substitutes for these medicines....?

Are Plaquenil, Imuran found in India?  If so under what name?

All the drugs required for lupus are available in India. Drugs like Plaquenil, Imuran, mycophenolate are easily available in India (though with a different brand name). Even the latest biologic agents like Mabthera is available in India.
